Generally, the lead time on our furniture is 10 weeks, and all orders are built in the order they are received.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY LIFETIME LEGACY FURNITURE?
Here at Ricketts Design Company, we purpose to honor Jesus everyday. From the most minuscule cut to the complete product we work as unto the LORD. Our pieces are carefully handcrafted using all-wood joinery methods, while minimizing the use of screws. This ensures our pieces to last for generations. We long to not just make "another table", but to make a piece that will truly mean something for your family, and leave a legacy to be passed down for years to come.
Given the handcrafted, hand finished nature of the pieces we create, discrepancies and imperfections in the wood are to be expected, as well as appreciated! This makes every piece, truly one of a kind. Just as no one tree is the exact same, no one piece of furniture that is handcrafted is the exact same. Every piece of furniture includes knots, brush strokes, and small differences in texture in the pieces and their finish.
Solid wood will expand and contract because it is a dynamic material, rather than a static material. Conditions such as changes in temperature and humidity add to the possibility of wood movement throughout a pieces lifetime. Gaps between the boards of a table top may form over time due to expansion and contraction. When built properly, wood movement does not affect the structural integrity of a piece of furniture, and is not considered to be defective. We craft our pieces with quality and care, so they will last a lifetime. No piece of our furniture is produced by mass-machine manufacturing. We appreciate the true authenticity in color and character of every piece of solid wood furniture that is built and finished in our shop.
CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER?
If you need to make a change to your custom order, such as size, color, type of wood, or delivery, you will have 24 hrs from when your order is submitted to make that change. Please not that other expenses may be incurred if changing sizes, wood types, or delivery. If you decide to make a change call us at 409-354-3216 or email us. After the 24 hour period has passed, we have begun the process on your piece and cannot cancel or change your order.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY FURNITURE?
Our furniture is built from solid wood, generally red oak and is designed to last a lifetime. Our furniture is generally finished with oil-based polyurethane to protect the wood throughout day-to-day use. You will love the durability, longevity, and craftsmanship of our furniture.
For everyday care, we recommend wiping the furniture with water or any product intended for wooden surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, they run the risk of ruining your piece. If you have any other questions about furniture care, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.
